Insipred by the still lives of one of my favorite painters, Winifred Nicholson, this view is from one of the apartments overlooking Porthmeor beach in St. Ives, Cornwall. Enchanted by delicate printed fabrics, ceramics of local potters, bowls of fresh lemons it is difficult not to be uplifted by this picture. Compositions like this epitomize the lure of St. Ives and the lifestyle that is associated with living by the sea. Truely magical.
