Handmade in Cornwall, these brooches are made from a wide source of coloured and patterned fabrics, vintage scraps, recycled linens, inherited fabrics and new store bought cottons. Cat employes similar techniques of appliqué and machine embroidery that she uses in her textile illustrated pictures. The brooches are a wearbale form of this art work.
Fishing boats full of buoys are one of Cat's favorite things associated with Cornwall and it's fishing heritage. Each brooch is approximately 2.5 x 5 cm (1x2 inches) and has a 3cm (1inch) clasp on the reverse. This is not a toy.
