Card - Circle Through the Seasons

A beautiful and faithful reproduction of Cat's seasonal quilt. 

Following the changing of the seasons, the circle is divided up into the 12 calendar months, with each month burtsing with illustrations of animals, flora and fauna. The eight ancient fire festivals mark each quarter and cross quarter and are interspersed with seasonal symbols and imagery. The moon phases, constellations, meteor showers and a sky diary encircle it all.

This whole cloth quilt was made using hand and raw edge appliqué methods, hand and free motion embroidery techniques and was completed using a Kantha-style hand quilting.

It took Cat 3 and a bit years to complete. 

The card is 15 x 15cm (6x6 inches) is printed locally on FSC registered Matte card and is blank inside for your own message.
