Turquoise Sewing Wrap

A Turquoise linen sewing wrap inspired by the larger vintage huswif wraps of the American Civil War. 

This rich coloured needle case folds out to display two pages of purple wool felt to keep your pins and needles safe whilst sewing. It has a popper closure with a mother of pearl button as a decorative finish. The lining is a nutral linen fabric. 

Inside the third page there is a handy turquoise pocket to store needle packets in. This pocket has another smaller flower applique on it with a mini mother of pearl button. Each petal is individually cut, positioned and sewn into place. 

The flower motif on the front has individual fabric petals which have been stitched using the free machine embriodery technique. 

Each wrap is unique in it's combination of fabrics, buttons and colours of wool blanket.
