IN PERSON - Driftwood Boats Workshop - 19th September 2023

Join Cat in her Studio for a one day hand sewing workshop.

Be inspired by the bright and colourful sailing boats that dance along Cornwall’s coastline and make your own flotilla of driftwood sailing boats.

We shall make our own patchwork sails by using simple printing techniques, stitching images and personalised words to the sails inspired by a variety of sea poems and poets.

We will work within a colour palette and utilise sea themed fabrics. Explore mark making with different stitches and a variety of colours and thickness of threads.

Develop a personal set of visual motifs to stitch into your sails. Use embellishments such as buttons and sequins to finish off and add extra texture to your mainsail.

Each boat will stand on its own unique piece of driftwood collected by Cat from local beaches.

This is a one day workshop at Cat's studio is in Redruth Cornwall.

Number of places are limited to four which makes a lovely small gathering.

The workshop day runs from 10am - 4pm with tea, coffee and cake provided. Please bring your own lunch.
